SWEET BARLEY AND WATER CHESTNUT DESSERT

Ingredients:
  • 1 can (8 oz.) Dynasty Sliced Water Chestnuts, drained well
  • 1 cup Wel-Pac Pressed Barley
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup honey

Directions:
Cook 1 cup barley according to package instruction.
In the mean time, coarsely chopped drained water chestnuts and set aside.
In a medium sauce pan, add in 4 cups water with honey, water chestnut and cook 2 minutes.
Add in cooked barley and bring to a boil, after boil, turn heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve chilled.

Servings:
Makes 6 servings, about 1 cup each.
